Khwaabgaon Parbon

Khwaabgaon Parbon is the annual festival held at Lalbazaar village of Jhargram, West Bengal to celebrate the spirit and life of the local community. The first edition of the festival was held on 17th, 18th and 19th January 2020. The three day event witnessed the participation from people from all walks of life, including residents of Jhargram and Kolkata. An art exhibition of the works produced by the children of Khwaabgaon was organized along with several workshops that included traditional Sara (earthen platter) painting, Mask Making, Alpana and Patachitra painting. An exhibition of ‘Kutam-katam’ sculptures by Rameswar Soren and Jogeswar Hansda were also on view. The special attraction was the Chyang dance performance, a dying tribal heritage of India.
